Crêpes

Sweet or savoury, hot or cold, heavy or light. Crêpes are the go to breakfast that can be adjusted to fit anyone's mood. Versatille and satisfying they're a guaranteed success in any household.

    Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1  1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp butter
Filling + Garnish:
  • Handful of strawberries
  • 3 green onions
  • Chives
  • Cheese of choice ( I used Mozza and cheddar mix)
  • Chocolate Ganache: a handful of chocolate chips and 1 cup heavy cream

    Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl mix together all your ingredients.
  2. In a small pan, melt a small chunk of butter. Make sure not to burn it.
  3. Using a measuring cup or ladle, pour the crepe batter in.
  4. Cook until bubbles form and the side on the skillet gets a nice brown colour. Flip and cook the other side.

For  cheese, green onion and chive crêpe:
  1. Melt the cheese on top of the crêpe while it's still in the pan.
  2.  Place the green onions along the crêpe and fold.
  3. Garnish with chives.
For strawberry and chocolate crêpe:
  1. In a small saucepan melt and whisk your chocolate chips with heavy cream until the desired consistency is reached.
  2. Line the crêpes with the freshly made ganache.
  3. Align the strawberries and fold the crêpe.
  4. Top with more ganache and serve.
